Dr Anmar Mariud

Dr Anmar Mariud is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years of experience in women’s health. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Baghdad in 1997 and completed his postgraduate medical training in Australia. He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014.

Dr Mariud has trained extensively in high-risk obstetrics and advanced gynaecological surgery. His experience includes work at major tertiary centres such as the Mater Hospital in Brisbane and subspecialty fellowships in laparoscopic and pelvic floor surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as advanced gynaecological surgery at the Hunter New England Centre for Gynaecological Cancer in Newcastle.

His clinical interests include minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopic hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, excision of endometriosis, and hysteroscopic surgery. He also manages low and high-risk pregnancies, as well as colposcopy and treatment of cervical abnormalities.

Dr Mariud is a member of several professional associations, including RANZCOG, AMA, ASCCP, and the Australasian Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery. He is committed to providing personalised, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs.
