Dr Amanda Jane Gibbons

Dr Amanda Jane Gibbons is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on rural medicine and community health, she has developed a diverse clinical practice that caters to patients from all walks of life. Dr Gibbons is particularly passionate about delivering high-quality primary healthcare, ensuring that her patients receive continuous and supportive medical attention tailored to their individual needs.

Dr Gibbons completed her medical education at Deakin University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2012. Following her graduation, she undertook comprehensive hospital training in Melbourne to refine her clinical skills. In 2016, she achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). To further support her clinical focus in women's health, she also completed the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Associate Training Programme (Procedural).

Throughout her career, Dr Gibbons has gained extensive experience in rural health and Aboriginal health, working across various regional settings. Her broad range of clinical interests includes women's health, where she provides expert guidance on antenatal and postnatal care, perimenopause, and menopause. She is also highly skilled in contraception counselling, including the insertion and removal of contraceptive devices such as Implanon and intrauterine devices (IUDs). Additionally, she focuses on chronic disease management, general adult health, and preventative health checks, while also dedicating time to the medical education of medical students and General Practice Registrars.
