Dr Alison Pilkington

Dr Alison Pilkington is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She believes in empowering her patients by providing clear, comprehensive information, ensuring they are active participants in their own healthcare decisions. Known for her warm, empathetic, and reassuring approach, Dr Pilkington strives to create a safe, non-judgemental environment where patients of all ages feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their medical journeys.

As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Pilkington has a diverse range of clinical interests, with a strong focus on neurodevelopmental care and mental health. She is particularly passionate about providing thorough, respectful, and neuro-affirming assessments and management for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children, adolescents, and adults. In addition to her work in neurodiversity, she provides comprehensive care in women's health, including contraception, fertility, antenatal and postnatal support, and perimenopause and menopause management. Her practice also encompasses paediatric care, adolescent healthcare, weight management, and preventative medicine aimed at optimising long-term health and preventing chronic disease.

Dr Pilkington completed her medical education at the University of Adelaide, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2006. She went on to achieve her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2011. To maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence, she holds professional memberships with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian ADHD Professionals Association.
