Dr Alexey Sidorov

Dr Alexey Sidorov is a highly qualified Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and General Adult Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive psychiatric care and independent medical assessments. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of mental health conditions in adults aged 18 and over. With a clinical focus that spans both General Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry, Dr Sidorov is dedicated to delivering thorough, evidence-based evaluations and compassionate patient care. His expertise encompasses mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and complex psychotic disorders.

Throughout his career, Dr Sidorov has gained extensive experience working across diverse clinical settings, including general hospitals, specialised mental health units, correctional facilities, and court liaison services. He has also successfully managed his own private practice. In addition to his clinical work, he is highly regarded for his expertise as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, regularly preparing detailed medicolegal reports for courts, tribunals, and statutory bodies, and providing expert oral evidence.

Dr Sidorov completed his Bachelor of Medical Science and went on to obtain his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney, qualifying in 2011. He furthered his postgraduate education at the University of New South Wales, where he attained a Master of Psychiatry and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Mental Health. Dr Sidorov is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and holds formal certification in Advanced Training in Forensic Psychiatry.
