Dr. Alexander Rolls

Dr Alexander Rolls is a dual-trained vascular surgeon in the UK and Australia, with expertise across open and endovascular vascular surgery. His principal clinical interests include fenestrated and branched treatment of complex aortic aneurysms, distal lower limb revascularisation and the management of acute and chronic deep venous conditions.

His vascular training was undertaken through the London vascular training programme at St Mary’s, St George’s and Royal Free Hospitals. He later completed a three-year fellowship in advanced endovascular therapies at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth, where he currently holds a public appointment.

He also treats a broad range of vascular conditions, with expertise encompassing aortic surgery, lower limb arterial reconstruction, deep and superficial venous surgery and carotid surgery. His practice includes open aortic repair, carotid surgery, lower limb bypass surgery, varicose vein treatment and pelvic venous insufficiency.

Research forms another important aspect of Dr Rolls’ work. His research portfolio focuses on the evaluation of novel endovascular techniques and is underpinned by a doctoral thesis completed at Imperial College London examining robotic endovascular technology. His approach to practice emphasises the safe, evidence-based adoption of newer endovascular techniques alongside careful pre-operative planning and surgical technique.
