Alana Eggins

Alana Eggins is a dedicated Registered Psychologist who provides a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space for individuals seeking to navigate life's challenges and understand themselves more deeply. Adopting a strengths-based, neuroaffirming, and collaborative approach, she works with clients to foster growth, resilience, and long-lasting positive change. Eggins is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, tailoring her therapeutic interventions to meet the unique goals and needs of each person.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of areas, with a special interest in neurodevelopmental differences such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Eggins provides comprehensive neurodevelopmental, cognitive, and learning assessments, alongside therapy for anxiety, depression, burnout, and emotional regulation. She also assists clients with self-esteem, school-related challenges, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. To make therapy engaging and effective, she integrates evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), often incorporating creativity and play into her sessions.

Eggins completed her academic training at the University of Queensland, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours). She also holds a Certificate IV in Mental Health and completed her professional psychology training via the four-plus-two pathway. Eggins is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Additionally, she is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi), ensuring her practice aligns with the highest professional and ethical standards.
