After undergoing a modern multi-million dollar refurbishment in 2015, Western Private Hospital is now a 68 bed facility with a Coronary Care Unit, an Interventional Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, a Pathology Laboratory, an on-site Pharmacy and an advanced PET/CT Scanner. The hospital also has a Day Procedure Unit, Surgical Services Unit, Day Oncology Unit, state-of-the-art Operating Theatres and a Central Sterilisation Services Department. Western Private Hospital was the first hospital in the region to provide radiotherapy and MRI services and is the only hospital in Western Metropolitan Melbourne with a PET scanning facility.
