A/Prof Morgan

Associate Professor Vanessa Morgan is a specialist dermatologist based in Melbourne. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne before undertaking specialist training in dermatology. In 2001, she graduated as the top candidate in Australia for procedural and surgical dermatology in the fellowship examinations for the Australasian College of Dermatologists. She has been in private practice since 2002 and also holds public hospital appointments.

Her public appointments include serving as the Head of Unit for the Dermatology Department at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and as a consultant dermatologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital. She is also an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne. Her extensive training covered complex medical dermatology at several leading hospitals, including the Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Alfred Hospital, as well as paediatric dermatology at the Royal Children's Hospital.

Associate Professor Morgan has a broad range of expertise within dermatology. Her interests include the management of skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating. She also has a focus on women's and children's dermatology, which encompasses the treatment of vascular lesions, performing surgical procedures, and some laser dermatology treatments. She is an active member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and contributes to the training of dermatology trainees and medical students.
