A/Prof Anthony Glover

Associate Professor Anthony Glover is a specialist endocrine surgeon and surgical oncologist with a focus on the treatment of diseases and tumours of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and a Bachelor of Science (Medicine), as well as a PhD from the University of Sydney. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, specialising in General Surgery. Following his general surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital, Associate Professor Glover completed further specialised training. This included clinical fellowships in surgical oncology at London's Royal Marsden Hospital and in endocrine surgery with the University of Sydney's Endocrine Surgical Unit. He also undertook post-doctoral research experience at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In addition to his clinical work, Associate Professor Glover is a recognised leader in cancer research and surgical education. He leads a research team at the University of Sydney, where he is also the Director for the Master of Surgery programme. His research focuses on thyroid cancer, surgical outcomes, and surgical education, and he has received multiple awards, including a NSW Premier's Award for Outstanding Cancer Research, for his work in the field.
