Dr Sheirin Mehany is an empathetic and highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience. She has a broad range of experience and qualifications in psychiatry and related fields. 

Dr Mehany has a wealth of knowledge in treating psychiatric illness. She has worked in various healthcare settings, including the NHS and independent healthcare providers. She is currently a consultant psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Bristol, where she has worked in the psychiatric intensive care unit for two years. Dr Mehany is registered with the UK General Medical Council (GMC) and has extensive experience supervising psychiatric junior doctors. Her dedication to providing empathetic and high-quality care to her patients has earned her an excellent reputation in the field.

She obtained her medical degree at Cairo University in 1990, and went on to complete a Masters degree in General Adult Psychiatry at Cardiff University in 2013. Dr Mehany has also completed a Diploma in psychotherapy and solution-based hypnotherapy. 

Dr Mehany’s research interests demonstrate a commitment to exploring new approaches to improving outcomes for patients, and her certifications in NLP and coaching as well as psychotherapy and hypnotherapy suggest that she takes a holistic and patient-centred approach to care.
