Prof Ayliffe is friendly, makes you feel relaxed and inspires confidence. In explaining procedures he uses layman's terms, says what is going to happen and why. In my case the results were better than expected. I would enthusiastically recommend him to another patient.

Professor Ayliffe was courteous and friendly. At the consultations he explained things clearly to me. I am extremely pleased with the outcome of my procedure.

The experience has been extremely positive and life-enhancing. Before treatment I was experiencing steady eye loss due to corneal hazing. Recently I had failed my driving sight test and was beginning to despair that anything could be done. I had seen various consultants and had either been told nothing could be done - or even misdiagnosed and had treatment which made matters worse. Prof. Ayliffe was the first doctor to correctly diagnose my problem and, even better, know how to correct it. Within a few weeks my vision had been transformed. Gradually losing your vision is insidious as you don't really realise how bad it is getting. Since treatment I can best describe things in the following way. It is as though someone has thrown a light switch which illuminates the room. Five weeks on and still improvements come. Words seem inadequate, but a big thank you to the Prof and his team.

I was referred to the Professor by the gentlemen at Accuvision in London. I saw him at their consulting rooms and he explained that I had a cataract and that surgery was needed. He explained the procedure thoroughly and explained what I should expect and and also the side effects to having this cataract surgery. Armed with the wealth of information provided I went ahead and had my surgery to the right eye successfully having had to wait patiently due to the Covid restrictions at times in place. I have since had Lasik laser eye surgery to my left eye under guidance from the Professor and I can say that both operations have been 100% successful and I am thrilled by the results. I am so pleased that I followed his recommendations and proceeded as he advised. For the first time in over 50 years I am able to see long distance without glasses and this will help my sporting pastimes immensely and my quality of life. I am so thankful to him. Many, many thanks once again.

He absolutely saved my sight. Now things are back on track and he always talks through various treatment options available.

I owe my sight to Professor Aycliffe, as I have been under his supervision for about 5 years now, and as recently as August, he removed cataracts from both of my eyes. I am always made to feel relaxed when I'm in his company, and any questoons I may have, are answered and also explained.

Professor Ayliffe is always very welcoming and puts me at ease. I’ve been under his care for a number of years and whenever I have any flare ups, he’s always available via email and responds quickly to reassure and advise on next steps. Fully professional but also friendly and calm and very thorough. I would highly recommend his services.

The process from start to finish was exemplary. From Professor Ayliffe explaining what would happen, through the operation and then the post operative appointment I always felt very comfortable

Prof Ayliffe diagnosed me with a meningioma (affecting my vision) in short time and informed me immediately of the scan result. He took care to referring me to the right consultant allowing for a speedy treatment, from which I have made a full recovery.

He is the pinnacle of professionalism, he always listens intently to what i have to say and explains in great depth the procedures required or treatments to improve my ocular health. He is a very kind and gentle man with a very good bedside manner. He is also one of the most intelligent people that i have ever met. I have no hesitation in recommending Professor Ayliffe to anyone who requires this kind of assistance and help with their ocular needs.
