I have found Mr Sayal to be a warm, compassionate, talented and overall extraordinary example of what a doctor should be. He has always gone the extra mile to assist me in my understanding of my condition; displayed unrelenting committment in the diagnostic process, and has never backed down from difficult discussions or decisions. I can't count the number of times that Mr Sayal has gone above and beyond for me over the past year, and for that I am eternally grateful to him. If I could rate my experience with Mr Sayal as my consultant as an 11, I absolutely would.

Mr Sayal and his team did everything they could to support me through my surgery. My family and I are incredibly grateful for My Sayal, his professionalism, understanding and expertise. He explained everything and was clear and thorough. Highly recommend.

Polite and professional - would highly recommend. I felt as cared for remotely as I would have done in person.

TL;DR - You won't find a better specialist in the field than Dr. Sayal. I rarely take time to provide online feedback. Background: I am a 31 year old male and started having lower back and leg pain in August, where by on private referral I was even referred a risky surgery (6 months recovery plus risk of nerve damage). Obviously, I decided to go for second opinion. That is when I was referred to Dr. Sayal by Mr. James Greenwood of Queensquare neurology centre. Communication: Mr. Sayal is not only a good diagnostician but also a good communicator. Each of my call with Mr. Sayal lasted on an average 45 mins, following which he would send over the written transcript of what is discussed. He also adjusts the technicality of the conversation based on the patient's background. During the video conversation, he shared with me my MRI scan images, and explained in detail where the problem lies. For me, given I am relatively technical, he would even discuss about things such as studies published on the matter, the relative success, complications, etc. to ensure that the patient is well informed when choosing the treatment. He is very patient and takes time to answer each and every question I posed to him, and trust me I asked a lot of questions. Treatment: He really empathises with his patients and unlike other doctors, recommends trying alternatives before going for an invasive surgery if it is possible. This is even when he is an accomplished surgeon. In my case, he recommended that I get CT guided epidural injections in my spine, which worked wonders for me. He arranged the whole process and even discussed details of my case with the interventional radiologist tasked to perform the procedure on me. Follow up: I would send him an email to update him on my condition, and to my pleasant surprise, he would call me to discuss again follow up treatment and that too free of charge. Having consulted other specialists, I can confidently say that this is not something you can expect from any specialist but Dr. Sayal. Overall: I feel lucky and fortunate that I am being treated by Mr. Sayal who is genuinely motivated by the overall wellbeing of his patients. I have already benefitted a lot and I have a follow up in March again.
