From my first consultation with Mr Riley, through surgery, and to the sign off consultation. My experience was nothing but excellent throughout. Mr Riley’s communication was clear, precise, and presented with knowledgable confidence. As stated my experience was exactly as Mr Riley had explained. As my surgery was carried out under local anaesthetic, Mr Riley’s manner throughout was reassuring and calming, I felt in very capable and skilled hands. The end result was a complete success, at our final consultation I complimented Mr Riley with performing a masterpiece on my hand, as I was so pleased with the outcome.

Mr Riley bundles the full package of hands-on care, follow ups, a pragmatic approach and during surgery - a giggle or two. We’ve got two ears and one mouth and he uses them in that proportion.

This was my first operation ever and naturally I was anxious about the whole procedure. However from my first consultation right through to the successful conclusion, I had clear and helpful explanations of what was being proposed and what was happening. When I visited Mr Riley with my injury I was in a lot of discomfort. After our consultation where he had described what I could expect in terms of process, timelines and treatment I was quickly booked in with everyone to help me get back to my normal activity. Also he was very personable, approachable even for my silly questions he made time to fully explain the answers and what to expect. Mr Riley is a phenomenal surgeon. He was kind and empathetic throughout. He heard the issues I was diligent in finding out what the issue was and explaining my options. He took on board my disclosure of medical anxiety and worked to put my mind at rest throughout. He ensured that I only saw his preferred practitioners throughout so he was confident in the standard of my care. The surgery was fit to my needs as a person and for the functionality I was seeking to re-gain through the surgery. Mr Riley kept me informed throughout and it was clear that Mr Riley was seeking the best possible outcome for me as a patient in the best and kindest way. Mr Riley has, throughout, been extremely efficient and professional but combined with a very pleasant and human manner towards me. I have found the experience of appointments with Mr Riley to be very reassuring but combined with clear evidence of his being a highly competent surgeon. The surgery was carried out in exactly the way in which I had been given to expect and it appears to have been very successful. Throughout, I have been able to contact Mr Riley when I felt the need, both before and since the surgery.

It was a brilliant experience. It was the first time I had used private healthcare so wasn’t quite sure how things worked- but it was explained really well and the doctor gave plenty of time during the consultation to explain exactly what was wrong with my son’s finger. We had a logical plan of action and his bedside manner was really approachable
