Mr Kulkarni is a consultant in orthopaedic and trauma surgery at BMI Park Hospital, Woodthorpe Hospital, and Nottingham Road Clinic. His clinical interests are ACL reconstruction, arthroscopic knee surgery, and hip and knee replacements (including hip resurfacing). Mr Kulkarni sees patients with a range of conditions including hip and groin pain, knee arthritis, knee dislocation, plica syndrome, knee tendonitis, iliotibial band syndrome, and anterior knee pain.

Mr Kulkarni completed his training in India and earned a Master of Surgery in orthopaedics from Bombay University in 1994. He undertook further training in the UK, including a knee fellowship in Derby and Nottingham, before gaining his FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 1999.

Throughout his career, Mr Kulkarni gained a number of awards including the Gold Medal - Shantilal Seth Prize for ranking first in the Diploma in Orthopaedics examination. He also achieved the highest score in the annual orthopaedic in training examination in 1997 and came fifth in his final MBBS examination among more than 600 other candidates.

Mr Kulkarni is a member of a number of organisations including the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association of Surgery of the Knee and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.
