Mr Barazi, Consultant Neurosurgeon, currently works at King's College Hospital and has done since 2010. Mr Barazi was born in Copenhagen and later moved to the UK to attend Winchester College before starting medical school at King's College Hospital Medical School, qualifying in 1996. Following this, he began his basic surgical training, serving with the 14th Parachute Regiment in France. He later gained Membership in the Royal College of Surgeons in 2002 and started his specialist neurosurgery training in several prestigious units including King's College Hospital, Atkinson Morley's Hospital, St George's Hospital, and Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre. After this, he completed the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (Neurosurgery) in 2009. He undertook an additional fellowship abroad in endoscopic pituitary surgery in Bologna (Italy) while working under the supervision of Dr Giorgio Frank. He also later trained under Dr Andrew King and Scott Rutherford in Manchester as Neurosurgical Skull Base Fellow.
Mr Barazi is an active researcher, lecturing around the world on many neurosurgical topics including facial pain treatment, endoscopic pituitary/anterior skull base surgery, and spinal surgery.

Mr Barazi was never hurried in explaining the details the scan. He asked many pertinent questions to arrive at a diagnosis and the best treatments to explore. His follow up telephone call will be most welcomed

Mr Barazi is a great surgeon: he explained me perfectly what I had, how he would have proceeded, what was going to happen before, during and after the operation.
