Mr Kim diagnosed my problem and recommended a course of treatment, which has completely resolved my injury

Our mum had struggled with her right knee and was in severe pain for a period of 12 months. After much consideration she underwent a full knee replacement under the care of Mr Kim at the Alexander Hospital on 26th September 2019. From the initial consultation we were clearly informed of the details pertaining to the operation and advised of what to expect prior to and following the procedure. The timeframe for recovery was provided and an App was made available to support during this journey. We were confident in the decision to proceed with the operation following consultation with Mr Kim as he made us feel at ease from the outset and all of our queries and concerns were answered. We cannot praise Mr Kim enough, 12 weeks after surgery, we can honestly say our mum has full mobility and you would not believe she has had a full knee replacement which is amazing. We would not hesitate in recommending Mr Kim. If you are reading this and considering surgery, we would say do it, it will improve your quality of life no end.

Following a skiing accident in March I injured my right knee. It did not improve with physiotherapy & initially Mr Kim gave me a steroid injection. However, my knee relapsed & a MR scan showed a loose body & possible torn cartilage. My knee kept locking & was extremely painful & I had to use a walking stick. In mid November I had an arthroscopy & a loose piece of cartilage was removed & torn cartilage trimmed. It is wonderful to be without acute pain & I have full movement back in my knee. I would highly recommend Mr Winston Kim.

My experience from initial consultation explanation of MRI scan, different treatment options and outcomes was excellent. The waiting time for my knee replacement operation was only 4 weeks The care in hospital from all the staff especially the nurses ,physiotherapists and OT’s was outstanding. The My Recovery App is an invaluable aid especially during the first few months. Pauline my outpatient physio was very positive and encouraging which kept me on track post op .

I'm a 95 year old man who just had a hip replacement under the care of Mr Kim. My hip pain went away the same day of the surgery. Couldn't believe it.
