I first consulted Mr. Kersey in 2016 and since that time he has treated cataracts in both my left and right eyes very successfully. I have had occasion to consult him since my surgery in 2017 and most recently yesterday, 25th November. I recently had cataract surgery . For the first operation, everything was first class and I was very impressed with both Mr Kersey and Parkside but unfortunately the second visit wasn't quite so slick. There was quite a delay after my appointment time before I was seen and whilst the operation itself was again first class, the service provided by Parkside, both before and after, left a lot to be desired and .I certainly didn't feel like a private patient. Subsequent check up visit times were also invariably later than expected but not exceedingly so.

Having witnessed the great care that my mother has received from Mr Kersey over the past 12 years, he was naturally my first choice as a consultant for me when I needed eye surgery. However, I also did my homework to look at his documented Posterior Capsular Rupture rate (the most common complication of the procedure I was going to have), which was only 0.6% compared to an overall rate of 1.1%, so another element in his favour. Therefore, I went ahead and had my surgery with Mr Kersey, who was brilliant throughout. He explained everything clearly and concisely, and I felt I received the best care from him. I have no hesitation at recommending him, and I will certainly look to him should I need to see a consultant again in the future.

Right from the first consultation with Mr Kirsey for cateract surgery through to the final appointment I received the best care and attention. The examinations were carefully done in such a way so as to put patients at ease. He explained in detail the procedure and answered all my questions. The operation was very satisfactory and has restored my vision to how it was in my younger years. After two weeks my eyes were checked at a follow-up appointment and confirmed the success of the operation. I can only say how happy I am having Mr Kersey as my consultant.
