My appointment with Mr Sturdee was most helpful and informative with ample opportunity for questions and for clarification of anything I was unsure of. The appointment began with discussion about my foot deformities and the impact they have on my life. My foot was examined and Mr Sturdee clearly explained his diagnosis. Treatment options were discussed including bespoke shoes instead of surgery. I had no doubt that I preferred surgery if possible and Mr Sturdee outlined his proposed method of surgically correcting my deformities. All aspects of accessing surgery on the NHS and surgery as a self-funding private patient were explained in detail. Mr Sturdee was happy to see me as a patient whichever option I chose and he arranged for me to receive a package price from the Self Pay Advisors. Also I appreciate the additional support of being able to ask him questions by email. I was encouraged to take time to make decisions. There was no pressure. My appointment with Mr Sturdee was all I had hoped for. It gave me the ability to make informed choices and has enabled me to face my upcoming surgery positively and with confidence. Margaret L
