Prior to the Lens replacement I was using glasses for both near & far vision. I was very concerned I was gambling with my eyesight however after discussing with a colleague who had had the replacement twelve months previous it convinced me to proceed. I had my second eye lens replaced two weeks ago & can't believe the improvement it has made. Walking at the weekend was a different experience I could see ranges of hills I never seen previously from different viewpoints. Mr Rehman was so helpful & explained the procedure correctly, no surprises!

The treatment had made an enormous difference being able to read easily even in reduced light with clarity and detail infact. The treatment was more or less as I had anticipated and was not frightening due to the fact that the support and reassurance from all of the staff involved througout. A really professional service. I was treated as an individual from the start. Mr Rehman discusses the treatment and answered all of my questions and couldn't have been more helpful. Before treatment, I needed glasses for reading, computer work and driving. Now I can order a meal in a restaurant, read a magazine or book, use the computer, totally free of glasses. It has now made such a difference. I just need sunglasses now when we go on holiday. Everybody has efficient and helpful from start to finish. I would have no hesitation in recommending to friends, family acquaintances.

My initial approach to Optegra in connection with cataracts surgery was made on the recommendation of my optometrist.The arrangements for an appointment with Mr Rehman were quickly and efficiently made. I have worn specs/contacts all my live. Before treatment I could no longer wear my contacts due to eye changes and had resorted to wearing Bifocals for some time. Mr Rehman is very professional and approachable. He explained carefully the procedure and always made sure I understood what was going to happen. The accompanying literature concerning lens replacement surgery was straightforward and easy to understand. Clarivu is simply one of the best things I have ever done, and being able to dispense with glasses is a dream come true. In the past, despite my best efforts, I have never had a pair of glasses that have fitted comfortably, even after choosing lightweight frames and lenses. Although being aware that Clarivu might be an option for me, I was quite anxious about the procedure, however after a consultation with Mr Rehman I felt confident and happy to go ahead with the treatment. Since having the Clarivu treatment in October, I have not worn my glasses or even thought about them. Hiking in the rain had been a problem because I was trying to see through raindrops on my glasses or they were frequently steamed up in bad weather. Not any more. Now I can map read without glasses. I can read anything without glasses even the small print on price tags in clothes shops. The world looks brighter and I can see clearly into the far distance. I don't have to worry about losing my glasses when travelling in and out of different countries or breaking them in a place where it would be impossible to get them repaired. Its fantastic not to have to rely on glasses. I dont have to remember to make sure I have then when I go out. My close vision is fantastic. I like to do practical work and can even thread a needle! I feel more confident (being a walker) i can approach steps without having to remove my glasses. I used to take them off when talking to people. A generally pleasant and successful experience.
