having previously had never damage and some loss of vision in one eye, i was nervous about having any surgery. After extensive research, I found that Optegra was the best chance I had at having better sight. I was not disappointed. Everything was 1st class all the way from the surgeon, to the staff and the hospital itself. The surgery itself is nothing to be afraid of you hardly feel a thing. The results have been bettered, my expectations, things are clearer, brighter and colours more vivid. Its the best investment ive ever made. To sum it up in one word. OUTSTANDING! before the treatment, my vision was becoming more and more cloudy.so much that I felt it might affect my driving. After the procedure, my eyes were even better than they have been with contact lenses, Which I had for 40 years. Things are brighter, clearer and a lot easier. I spent 15 minutes for each operation which soon passed. Although I wore an eye patch for the first day, I could even detect how my vision had improved. The eye drops were simple to apply for about 4 weeks after each procedure. I would have no hesitation in recommending this treatment. Mr Rehman and his team were courteous, efficient and experienced.I am ever so grateful for their efforts.

I can thoroughly recommend this treatment to anyone who is suitable for the procedure. I have worn glasses since I was 4. 58 years no longer. The procedure was quick and painless and after 2 weeks my vision is 20;20 and Improving still.

When I started investigating this surgery, I found the Optegra Yorkshire Eye Hospital to be far the most courteous, informed and personal on the phone. On my first visit, Eileen Mr Rehman's secretary was extremely pleasant in explaining what would happen, as were the staff who carried out many sophisticated tests on state of the art equipment, which resulted in a detailed personalised map of my eyes. When I met Mr Rehman, he explained the procedures and answered all my questions fully, so that with is guidance I was able to decide which procedure to undergo. On the day of the operation again all staff were professional but also with the human touch, chatting to relieve tension and a nervous handheld. This is so important. Dear Mr Rehman, I would like to thank you and your team for your skill and expertise regarding my recent Clarivue lens replacements.I have been very short-sighted since I was in my early teens and as high prescription glasses were extremely thick rimmed in the 1960's, I would only wear my glasses when I was in school or working. I progressed to hard contact lenses when I was 19 but there were many difficulties, as the adjustment from lenses to glasses was at least 24 hours so consequently, I wore my lenses all the time and regularly suffered with sore eyes. For the last 20 years, I have used soft contact lenses and alternated between glasses and lenses. However three years ago I developed cataracts but one eye was much worse than the other. After a discussion with my optician, I was advised to arrange a consultation at Optegra. I am so glad I did. The procedure was at my convenience and was uncomfortable but not painful.I was advised care and advise prior to the operation care during the operation and care and reassurance afterwards. My eyesight is amazing and the clarity and colours are wonderful. Prior to the operation I was unable to recognise people in the distance and was constantly asking my husband to tell me who I was waving to. I now recognise them first. Thank you so much.
