My experience with Sam has been excellent. He's calm and confident, which is re-assuring for any pre-surgery apprehension. He's also very competent, willing to explain any detail to you so you fully understand what lies ahead. The work he's done has been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate in choosing Sam again.

My overall experience is positive. Mr Vollans displays his specialist medical ability in an exceptionally professional, caring & relaxed manner explaining the details and processes of all procedures throughout in a methodical uncomplicated way allowing the opportunity for discussion and questioning throughout. There has always been the opportunity to contact the Medical Secretary/Medical Team for further questioning, support or to discuss concerns if later required but this has never been needed as all details have been covered during appointment visits or procedures.

I sustained a complicated wrist fracture which required realignment, wiring and fixation plate. From my initial contact with Mr Vollans right through to post operative, I found him to be excellent in his approach, clearly explaining the procedure pre-op, during the surgery and at the post op consultations. I had complete confidence in him and I am delighted that I have had an excellent outcome thanks to him I was also very impressed by Dr Gupta the anaesthetist and the rest of the surgical team.

Absolutely brilliant after having calcium build up on my elbow joint I was referred to Mr Vollans who from day one took his time to explain every detail of my condition and the procedure to follow on the day of my op Mr Vollans explained what was going to happen and in his words “don’t worry I will be treating you as if you were a member of my own family” which gave myself and my wife a lot of assurance can’t thank him enough

After a fall which resulted in a broken upper arm, I visited Mr Vollans on several occasions following a recommendation from a consultant colleague of his. Mr Vollans was very professional at all times in his treatment of me and my condition. He was also very knowledgeable and decisive which instilled me with confidence. My trust in his advice is now paying dividends as I have not required any surgery and my bones are in alignment and are starting to heal. He was also able to recommend an experienced specialist physiotherapist who is now helping me to regain movement in my arm. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Vollans and feel I have a special insight into his qualities as a doctor after having spent 42 years as a qualified nurse and also having had several spells of time as a patient in hospital myself in the past.
