I was referred to Mr Kolli after the first consultant I was referred to explained that while she could cure my cataracts the lenses she could use would not cure most of my myopia and none of astigmatism. She suggested referral to a colleague who would be able to improve my eyesight as well as treating my cataracts. I saw Mr Kolli in clinic and, after detailed examination, he explained in terms I could understand what treatment he would propose as part of dealing with my cataracts and the outcomes I could expect. Apart from the development of the cataracts my eyesight had been very poor since I was 9 years old. After the first operation I could see far better with one treated eye than with two eyes for the previous 55 years. I had a second operation a little later with the same results. In summary - thanks to his skill I now have far better vision than most of the population. The outcome exceeded my expectations hugely. Although the procedures were complex he had great patience in explaining what would be done and what the likely results would be. His clarity and quiet confidence in his ability removed any nerves that I had.

Mr Sai Kolli right from the beginning of my treatment was above all very professional, kind, courteous and always explained what he was doing or about to do and always listened. My sight has deteriorated slowly since I was very young, I have had a lot of problems over the years with my eyesight I’ve had a detached retina and laser treatment on the other eye to stop it detaching, with all this I was extremely nervous, apprehensive and then excited when Mr Kolli explained what my cataract surgery on both eyes would mean for me, before surgery my prescription lenses were +15 very thick, now after having both cataracts done successfully I am able to see without glasses very well, also may I add the whole procedure was painless, I was more nervous about it hurting than anything else at the time, but I told Mr Kolli how I was feeling and he would always put my mind at ease. I don’t have the words to fully express my gratitude and admiration for the wonderful Mr Sai Kolli.

An excellent clinician with exemplary communication skills. Rapid diagnosis followed by appropriate treatment enabled resolution of my first corneal ulcer, which was pronounced due to a significant delay in referral. The development of a second corneal ulcer was similarly diagnosed and treated quickly and I am now on a course of prophylactic treatment to prevent further recurrences.

I waited well over one year to see Mr Kolli and it was well worth the wait. I have allergic eye disease and dry eyes. I found Mr Kolli very professional, pleasant, attention to detail, very thorough, very accommodating. I was very anxious and Mr Kolli quickly became aware of this and treated me in an outstanding manner, he made sure I was dealt with as quickly as possible, wrote down my condition and how to take the two eye drops I would be receiving, which I appreciated. Mr Kolli was very patient and asked if there was anything that i needed to ask or to go over. I could not fault Mr Kolli at all during my visit.

I cannot speak highly enough about the care, consideration, honesty, knowledge and approach of Mr Kolli. Mr Kolli explained the procedure I was due to have (cornea graft), what to expect during recovery, and was realistic about the possible outcomes of a graft. He spoke through waiting times and timescales of the next steps. Mr Kolli was always happy to answer any questions and concerns that we had

Although I appreciated the need for the cataract operations I was apprehensive about having an operation on my eyes. This however was rectified by the way in which Mr Kolli explained the procedures and indeed covered all the ramifications of the procedures. This put me at my ease. During the procedure he explained exactly what he was doing and answered any questions I had using language I could understand. I didn’t feel he was talking down to me.

As a consultant I found him engaging, precise in his assessment and provided me confident reassurance in his work. His communication skills are excellent in getting across complex issues easily. He is personable, always supportive and discusses the treatment programme at each stage with me and his team. With his team and his skill he successfully achieved the result in giving me near perfect eyesight without any side effects. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a consultant to anyone.

I am 60 years old and for most of my life I had been very short sighted. A few years ago I was diagnosed with uveitis and PIC (punctate inner choroidopathy) which required steroid treatment. One of the side effects from this treatment was the rapid development of cataracts in both eyes, requiring surgery. My consultant referred me to Mr Kolli who has an incredibly good reputation for looking after patients like myself who fall into the high risk category for surgery. I was so nervous about having the surgery and fearful that the procedure might lead to a total loss of vision. However, from the moment I met Mr Kolli I knew I would be in safe hands. He was so kind and patiently listened to my concerns and worries. He explained everything so clearly and I left the consultation with complete reassurance and knew I would be well looked after. I have now had cataract surgery in both eyes and for the first time in my life I have excellent 20/20 vision in both eyes and no need for glasses or contact lenses! It has been a great pleasure to be in the care of someone with such skill, care and dedication, to whom, I will always be grateful.

I arrived for my cataract surgery very apprehensive but was immediately put at ease with the kind, gentle manner or Dr Kolli. He explained everything to me in full and said not to worry as it would not hurt, and it would be over quickly. I could tell by the tone of his voice I was going to be OK. The atmosphere in the theatre was very professional but also relaxed. I was reassured constantly and my fears disappeared. I was constantly asked if I was OK and I cannot praise Dr Kolli high enough. He is a very caring genuine person , and I felt completely relaxed. I have complete trust in Dr Kolli , and I have no hesitation in having My right eye operated on in due course. It is amazing to see so qekk after my cataract surgery. I was extremely short sighted before my surgery and could only see a hand in front of my eye. After having cataract surgery, I now have excellent vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses. My life has been completely transformed. I cannot recommend Mr Kolli highly enough. He is very clear in his explanations and made me feel totally at ease. I am not shy to ask questions and they were all answered with patience and kindness. Mr Kolli is clearly an excellent surgeon and I feel so lucky to have been treated by him.
