Explanation

I am a 60yr old lady and had a total knee replacement at the end of June 2023. I had set myself a target of climbing Ben Nevis 12 weeks and 3 days after the surgery to raise money for Marie Curie. Mr.Trikha achieved “top 10%” on my knee and I completed the climb with only 3 damaged toenails as a result!! Thank you so much Mr. Trikha, not only for my new knee, but also for your belief and encouragement.

Explanation

Mr Trikha has been exceptional. I ruptured my cruciate for the second time playing football after it was originally repaired 19 years ago. I also ruptured the posterior root of the lateral meniscus. Mr Trikha used an allograft to repair the cruciate, repaired the meniscus and carried out microfracture surgery as there was also cartilage damage within the knee presumably as a result my original injury. I am 3 weeks into recovery. I've had very little pain and am now completely pain free. I have no swelling. Almost a full range of movement. No obvious signs of surgery in terms of scars! I've been told I can start using a static bike already. In my wildest dreams I did not expect to be in this position so early in the recovery. It is obviously still very early days but so far it is impossible for things to have gone better and that's all down to Mr Trikha's skill and experience. As long as I do my bit I now have the chance to play sport again which is all I could have asked for going into the operation. Thank you Mr Trikha!

Very open, checked I was ok with the information and responded well to my questions. Post op (same day) was a bit of a whirlwind and I was still feeling a little groggy so didn't really understand the feedback or have the chance to follow up with any additional questions when he came up to the ward to see me. This is not necessarily a bad thing as he was clearly in a rush and he was simply checking in. In hindsight I would have wanted another 10 mins with him.

Mr T is precise and generous with his knowledge. He is - for me - the perfect surgeon in that he gave me the information I needed to decide to proceed with surgery with him and now 2 weeks on I am very happy with the outcome . I will ask him to book my other knee for surgery next year (tba)

I have had a very positive experience with Paul Trikha. He immediately knew why the joint in my left leg was not stable and after a discussion regarding the surgery I felt very confident that his diagnosis and proposed surgery plan was the best option for myself. I am now 6 weeks post surgery and am thankful I had the PCL reconstruction as the benefits are really beginning to show and I should be back playing tennis in the near future. Andrew H,

Really attentive and was spot on with my diagnosis. The ACL and meniscus were ruptured. The operation was straightforward and I could feel the improvement straight away- no pain on walking. He also looked after my daughter last year and she is back to sports like nothing happened.

Explanation

After a fairly serious Ski accident, I was left with ruptured ACL and MCL in my left knee and ACL/ MCL and PCL in my right knee along with significant bruising and meniscal tears. Having been referred to Paul by my local surgeon and Physio I was confident I would be well looked after. This very much proved to be the case as Paul carefully talked me through the intended surgery and quickly gave me confidence that I was in good hands. My outcomes have been amazing and far better than I had expected, surgery was 4 weeks apart from left to right knee and I was up and walking within a few days ....................highly recommend Paul, excellent job done and I can't thank him enough!

I was recommended to Mr Trikha by a very good friend of mine who had previously seen him and had surgery by Mr Trikha. I contacted the office to book myself in but his clinic was full, when I explained the situation I was in and the pain I was suffering they juggled the diary around and got me in that same evening. From start to finish my consultation was thorough and Mr Trikha's diagnosis was confirmed with the MRI results. Surgery was booked for the following week and now I am coming to the end of my rehab and could not thank him enough. I am now back riding my beloved Bandit again, my horse.
