As this was my first visit to any type of hospital and my first real illness I was extremely nervous and in considerable pain. Mr Kumar was excellent. Professional, kind and considerate throughout. At my initial consulation he carefully explained my condition (gallbladder) and took me throught the details of the operation and any associated risks. From the first introduction to Mr Kumar at Albyn Hospital Aberdeen he put me at ease very quickly with his friendly, professional manner. Before, during and after the physical assessment Mr Kumar continually explained the process of the assessment and then went on the explain in depth the procedure required to repair my hernia damage. The operation went very well only requiring a minimal stay of one night in Hospital, where the overnight care was very efficient. After my discharge Mr Kumar followed up a telephone call to check on my progress and arranged a follow up consultation three weeks after my procedure. At the three week consultation Mr Kumar examined the operation and discussed my further recovery with the assurance to contact him with any issues or questions.
