The outcome of my surgery was very successful. Mr. Hughes was very thoughtful in assessing the situation and managing the post operative phase to optimise the result. Throughout the consultation phase he was very receptve to all my questions and gave clear, balanced answers. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again if problems reoccur.

I have been under the care of Mr Hughes for a number of years now and I honestly wouldn't go and see any other ENT unless needed. Mr Hughes is such a lovely, professional, kind and lovely consultant who has his patient's best interest at heart. I have seen Mr Hughes for a number of reasons due to ear problems, sinus infections and he did my thyroidectomy in March 2021 but the care from him was fantastic and almost two years on you can barely see the scar as it was so neat, it wasn't ever a massive scar it's just so small and so many were shocked even a month or two after how small and neat the scar was!. My parents have also seen Mr Hughes and we are very happy with his care! Thank you Mr Hughes for the amazing care over the years!

Mr Hughes has a calm, confident manner which comes from his expertise in this area. He was excellent at explaining the issue to me, providing me with the pros and cons for the different options and provided sensible down to earth guidance through my options. He was keen to explore the non-surgical option first, but when this did not resolve the issue and we decided to go down the surgery option. Mr Hughes was very good at explaining the possible short term side effects, and I really appreciated his explanation and focus on how he planned to blend the surgical scar into the neck creases so it would be invisible. I am happy to say that I had no side effects at all after the surgery and would 100% recommend Mr Hughes.
