Mr Jawad Islam is a Consultant Urologist with two decades of experience. Jawad specialises in prostate disorders, urological cancer, erectile dysfunction and stone diseases. He is currently based at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital and sees private patients at Spire Flyde Coast Hospital.

Jawad completed his medical degree at the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 1993 before relocating to the UK. He then completed his basic surgical training and research in Dublin, after which he was awarded his Master's degree (MSc) from the National University of Ireland in 2002. In the same year, he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He later undertook his specialist urology training, during which he was trained in a variety of urological techniques, including laparoscopic surgery, and uro-oncolgy. He became a Fellow of the European Board of Urology in 2008 and after completing his specialist training, he became a Fellow in Urology of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2013. In the same year, Jawad was appointed Consultant Urologist at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital in 2013.

Jawad has specialist expertise in several areas of urology, andrology and uro-oncology, including: bladder investigations, vasectomy, kidney cancer, bladder stones, kidney stones and erectile dysfunction.
