I found my experience with Dr Shukla to be exceptional, very professional and sincere. The options available to me were all clearly pointed out, including which steps to take next and what to expect.

Everything first class. The only minor problem I had was leaving hospital with medication that I wasn't entirely sure what it was doing. I had a few anti inflamatory tablets left, but didn't know how powerful they were and how much good they were doing as they weren't named in the pain relief notes. I replaced them with Ibruprofin for a couple of days then stopped using them and all was fine. I have previously had a knee replacement and am finding the pain associate with the hip replacement considerably less. Biggest problem has been sleeping on my back and wearing compression socks! These are only minor inconveniences and overall all staff and consultants made the experience as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

From my first meeting with Mr Shukla he put me at ease with regards to needing a knee operation. He visited me before my operation and again afterwards and explained how the operation went. I then had my follow up appointment where he showed me x-rays of my knee and how much improved things were. I would also like to thank the help I received from Mr Shukla's secretary and all of the staff at the 3 Shires hospital nursing and physio. I would highly recommend Mr Shukla and if needed in the future would hope he would look after me again.

We arrived for our appointment about ten minutes before. Not long after Mr Shukla called both my husband and myself in to see him. He greeted us nicely, and shook our hands. He spoke to me, examined my operation site, noted that it was healing nicely. He then explained to me about pulling my knee in, said he wanted me to tuck it in so that it achieved a 120 angle degree and also to sit a bit higher and stretch my leg forward and backward, also to continue taking painkillers, as it would be painful especially at night and to continue using the ice pack. He showed us the before and after surgery photos. He asked about my other knee, and said he would arrange for me to have an x-ray of both knees and see me again in three months. Mr Shukla was very professional, gentle, caring, kind and explained all in detail. At the end of the consultation, he shook both my husband's and my hands. We thanked him for everything and said goodbye.

I visited MrDivyang Shukla reguarding pain my hip, however from his examination, verbal assesssment and X-rays he felt that the pain maybe back related, therefore he requested an MRI scan. He explained in detail clearly the results , discussed further examinations and investigation to find the route of the cause of my pain.
