Mr. Gosh did explain to me that there is hope with the cancer treatment and made me relax and confident that healing was sure. Surgery was cost effective considering that I was coming from Ghana, Africa. I'm most grateful for his guidance and care during my cancer treatment.

I had a reduction mammoplasty six months ago with Mr Debashis Ghosh, who was one of a number of specialist breast surgeons that I met with in my research. From the first meeting, I felt like I was in safe hands. He is clear in his explanations of process and expectations, and his experience is evident throughout. A nurse is also present at each consultation. The surgery went smoothly, and I was cared for by an exceptional nursing team who knew Mr Ghosh well, and recovered quickly enough to leave hospital the same day. I was warned of the risks involved in the surgery and that obviously perfection cannot be guaranteed, but Mr Ghosh is clearly a perfectionist by nature. I can't speak highly enough of the results, which were beyond my expectations - my whole body feels in proportion now and the scars are healing beautifully.

Mr Ghosh has been my breast cancer surgeon since July 2015. When I came to him, I had developed cancer for the second time around in the same breast, and my only option was a mastectomy. At this time I was in my late forties, and otherwise extremely fit and healthy. It was devastating to hear I would need to lose my breast, but Mr Ghosh handled the situation hugely intuitively and with remarkable care and consideration, laying out all the options and always available for me to talk through my (considerable) concerns. Having already had a lumpectomy and radiotherapy for breast cancer in the same breast in 2007, my options for reconstruction were limited, but despite this, Mr Ghosh was able to carry out a very successful procedure. I have since had a second mastectomy and reconstruction with Mr Ghosh and I’m extremely happy with the results - no-one would every know the difference, even in a bikini! The thing that I respect and admire most in Mr Ghosh, is the way he can manage very difficult and delicate conversations with patients, at the same time as carrying out these life-saving procedures and producing successful results that are aesthetically pleasing, with military precision! I can’t speak highly enough of Mr Ghosh and would gladly recommend him to anyone considering this type of surgery.

From the first day I met Mr Ghosh he has been nothing but professional. Telling me with compassion that I had cancer then giving me hope and confidence in the same day that I would be able to beat it, I had every confidence that in his hands I'd be fine. He explained all of the treatment to expect and referred me to the best oncologist., Also making sure that I understood all of the options for surgery at the right time. All through this experience he has be very reassuring and calming. My surgery experience was second to none and I was very pleased with the result of my reconstructive surgery. I cannot thank him enough for making a horrible situation so much more bearable and giving me confidence in my body back.

Mr Ghosh has been my consultant breast surgeon since 2014 and has performed a bi-lateral mastectomy and more recently breast reconstruction for me. He is a highly skilled consultant surgeon who has demonstrated commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for me. Throughout this period, he has treated me with the utmost professionalism, careful consideration and kindness. The standard of care I have received has been excellent.
