He was able to make me feel totally confident in his expertise and knowledge. He was efficient and helpful throughout - I felt in very good hands and expert care.

Dr Lui had an excellent bedside manner and made sure he spoke directly to my daughter to include her in the decision making. He was very knowledgeable about Scoliosis and ensured we had all the facts so we could make an informed decision about her ongoing treatment. knowing that our daughter is now under his care, gives us some reassurance that she will get the best treatment she needs to help with her condition.

He seems very competent but the appointments always feel a bit rushed. He doesn't encourage questions or check if we're happy and understand everything, but is happy enough to answer questions when we have them. A bit more time and explanation etc. would be reassuring. He was very supportive of a `conservative' approach to my 15 year old daughter's scoliosis - using bracing and physio rather than recommending surgery. It has worked very well and it seems that she will not need surgery. Another very experienced consultant we saw did not recommend this approach and said that she would need surgery, so we're very happy with the approach the Mr Lui recommended.

Video consultation was very informative and Mr Lui provided details of what possibly would be done with regards to my rare cancer metastasis.

Mr Lui is very down to earth, personable and clearly extremely knowledgeable in his field. He made the whole experience fantastic, because he could explain the mechanics of my injury, the surgery, why I was feeling certain things, what I could expect to feel in the future and how my recovery might look, in lay terms. It was this reassurance and clear explanations that I still think of today, and throughout my recovery.
