From the first consultation I knew I was in very good hands. Dr Ho explained the diagnosis and following treatment process to great detail and made me feel confident going forward With the necessary procedure. Before, during and after my surgery, I received the best care.

This is one hell of a procedure and one I now wish I had years ago. Since 2018 I’ve had a solid lump of collagen in my line of vision and Jason has got rid of it swiftly and easily. The man is a genius.

I was bestowed with the good fortune to have an amazing and privileged experience whilst under the medical care of Consultant Surgeon Mr Jason Ho for surgery to repair a detached retina to my right eye. From our initial meeting Mr Ho sensed my distraught and fear that I was very likely going to lose my vision permanently to my right eye. At that point and time, tests confirmed I had zero vision, no words could express my feelings, I was quivering and cried silently to myself. Mr Ho’s professionalism from that moment onwards is what has saved me and my sight. Mr Ho always ensured everything was fully explained to me, his calm, confident manner combined with his impeccable surgical skills are the reason why today I am honoured and humbled to be given this opportunity to express my deepest and sincere thanks to Mr Jason Ho. To be confronted with two ophthalmic conditions both of which would have resulted in blindness in my right eye was a huge shock in October 2022. Waking up to ‘black strands’ (haemorrhage) in my right eye, a terrible headache and the fear I was going to lose my sight completely I was treated as an emergency referred to Mr Ho and his team. My first meeting with Dr Beatrice (my sincere apology for not recalling her surname) who temporarily repaired the torn retina with laser treatment onto the gas bubble insertion by Mr Ho a few days later to repair a macular hole. There are no words to adequately convey the appreciation I feel at their combined and relentless effort to save my sight, which they did. The treatment was a success. I have been reviewed twice and on both occasions thankfully the macular hole has gone and the retina is where it should be! One last surgery to complete - removal of a cataract planned sometime in the new year once the eye unit is reopened at King Edward hospital. Having anything done on your eyes is always a concern, however Mr Ho gave confidence from the beginning. He’s a very nice man that knows what he’s doing and I would certainly recommend him.
