Very thorough, systematic and technically skilled treatment throughout diagnosis, MRI scan, subsequent biopsy and then HOLEP surgery.

Mr Yamamoto was clear in his description of the operation and possible side effects. The operation was unusual in that it involved removal of multiple stones instead of the more usual one or two and required two successive operations because of the large number of stones to be removed. This clearly required a high degree of skill and a scan six months later which showed no trace of any stones proved that the operations had been a complete success. The reason for the operation was that the stones had been revealed by an earlier scan.
