Gemma Skudder is an accomplished physiotherapist with a strong educational background. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Physiotherapy from Keele University.

Gemma's professional interests span a wide range of specialties, including sports injuries, with a focus on knee, ankle, concussion, hand & wrist, rugby medicine, shoulder injuries, thoracic outlet syndrome, and rehabilitation of orthopaedic trauma (both pre and post operations, as well as conservative management).

Outside of her professional pursuits, Gemma maintains a keen interest in various sports, including rugby, motorsport, equestrian activities, and parasports. Currently, she serves as a Sports Physiotherapist Contractor for GB Wheelchair Basketball and Wales Rugby Union.

Gemma has gained extensive work experience in elite sports settings, having been involved with prestigious organisations and events. Her past roles include serving as the Team England Legacy Physio for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, as well as working with GB Wheelchair Basketball, England Rugby Women’s teams (including the Red Roses), Saracens Women’s Rugby, Gillingham FC, Stoke City FC, the World Paraclimbing Championships (IFSC), British Superbikes, and Team GB Canoe/Kayak U23 World Championships.

In addition to her clinical work, Gemma contributes to the field of sports medicine as a member of the RFU Women’s Medical Board Advisory.
