Dr Shruti Goel

Dr Shruti Goel is a Consultant in Nephrology and Acute Medicine and Clinical Lead for Renal Medicine and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) at Hillingdon Hospital, appointed in 2014. She holds Honorary Consultant posts at Harefield and Hammersmith Hospitals. She is also a member of the LAKIN (London AKI network).

Dr Goel is experienced in all the aspects of renal medicine, including general nephrology, acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease(CKD), hypertension , urinary abnormalities eg proteinuria/haematuria and diabetic kidney disease. She also works at Harefield Hospital and has experience in looking after heart and lung transplant patients with renal problems. She is also experienced in treating acute general medical conditions.

Dr Goel completed her nephrology training at the Hammersmith and Royal London Hospitals. Her research has been on Acute Kidney Injury and incidence of thrombosis in diabetic patients with renal transplants. She is actively involved in teaching and delivering talks to GP’s.
