    About

Dr Irfana Koita is the founder and director of IVF Matters, the UK’s 1st online fertility clinic. She is a fellow of The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and has achieved a Masters in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University USA. Irfana trained at Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and has over 15 years of clinical experience in the field of assisted reproduction.

Irfana sees a wide range of patients. These vary from those who have just started their fertility journey to those who have had unsuccessful treatments at other clinics. Her clientele includes those with PCOS, endometriosis, tubal damage, fibroids, and male factor subfertility. She has immense experience in the treatment of women who have reduced ovarian function. Over the years she has played a pivotal role in the birth of over 2000 babies following fertility treatment.

Dr Koita is passionate about supporting women who want to preserve their fertility by freezing their eggs. She has been instrumental in organising “Extended Choices”, a series of ongoing egg freezing parties in Mayfair, London to spread awareness and to empower women.

She offers video consultations and in-clinic appointments in London at Harley Street and Canary Wharf. All the fertility-related clinical procedures are conducted at a state-of-the-art IVF centre at Marylebone, London. The treatments are individualised and performed by her for all her patients to give the best outcome. Her high success rates are a testament to the excellent quality of care that she delivers. She has featured in The Times, Daily Mail, Grazia, and enjoys a 5-star rating on Doctify by her patients.

It took me almost three years to decide to do egg freezing and Dr. Koita was encouraging and supporting throughout the process. This is not an easy thing to do and it helps to have another woman as support (this felt really important to me as a female PoC). It was easy to get support and as questions over text and video calls.

I wish I had spoken to Dr Koita two transfers ago. I wanted to ask her advice-her second opinion on the progesterone level and drug protocol my clinic abroad had put me on. She really listened to my history and concerns and gave me her honest advice. Following her guidance that for me, the one thing that make make a big difference was progesterone to support implantation. I increased my progesterone intake and I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. It was really helpful during this time to be able to have video calls with her as I am limiting travel into London. We have been very happy with her guidance and will reach out again in future if needed! Thank you!
