We had a consultation with Dr Brennan regarding a hereditary genetic condition affecting our family. He provided a very clear explanation of the issues and was clearly very knowledgeable in the field. He had a very reassuring and patient manner. He offered plenty of time and opportunity for questions. He was extremely quick and responsive to all our enquiries and gave some practical advice and appropriate guidance about the issues of testing. Dr Brennan was very polite and welcoming and made our baby feel at ease. He has a very warm manner which I personally think is vital when dealing with children and he is softly spoken also; so he is not in any way intimidating to young children. He took the time to listen to our concerns and didn’t make us feel we were imagining there was a medical issue which was how we were made to feel when speaking to an NHS doctor. He was efficient and I note in his follow up report he had taken on board everything we had mentioned. Very happy with the service.

I took myself and my two children along to see Dr Brennan at the international gene clinic in Newcastle. I myself, had been misdiagnosed for many years and have suffered many complications along the way. I noticed my children were beginning to suffer similar symptoms as myself. I had a scan which found a hindbrain hernia which could be connected to a connective tissue disorder, that's when I set off on my journey to find someone who could give me the correct diagnosis along with my children. I chose Dr Brennan as he highly recommended, he has a lovely way in which he listens to your problems, he is very thorough and explains in detail why you could be experiencing certain symptoms and how certain systems in the body are affected.
