I saw Dr Rakshi recently and was given a diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease. He also found another problem and referred me on for that. I found Dr Rakshi very kind and he explained everything in an easy helpful way.

I decided to see Dr James Rakshi regarding ongoing chronic pain and historical cervical spine issues for an up to date account of the current state of my neck as well as determining how large a role that played in my general pain and day to day functioning. Dr Rakshi was very thorough in both getting to understand my history and current presentation as well as arranging relevant imaging and tests to help him to form a clear picture of what he viewed as going on. He was very friendly and happy to explain everything fully to me and I never felt rushed. Overall I was very happy with my decision to see him and given a clearer picture of my state of health after leaving than I had going in. He also gave me a clear idea of what I needed to do to improve my health going forward and how I can better protect my spine in day to day life.

I made quite an entrance on my first visit by tripping up and falling as I entered the consulting room. From that first moment Dr Rakshi was concerned and very caring about my condition and I could not have had a more knowledgeable specialist to investigate and explain my symptoms. He was absolutely spot on with his diagnosis and treatment and in fact the shaking arm I had been having for almost 2 years improved immediately after the first tablet. His manner was very calming and put me at ease at a difficult and emotional time in my life.

Dr James Lakshi provided me with an excellent level of service. He listened carefully to descriptions of my symptoms and history without jumping to premature conclusions, was thoughtful in his analysis, and provided very clear and comprehensive explanations of test results and his conclusions. James was also very accessible by email between appointments to set my mind at rest on a number of issues. I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Lakshi.

My experience with Dr James Rakshi from the few appointments I have had with him have been great. He genuinely takes the time out to actually listen to what issues i was and still am going through and then able to advise on what may be the best course of action. I initially had seen James for migraine issues but he was even kind enough to go out of his way and help refer me in relation to another with another ongoing issue (TMJD) which i am also suffering with. He did not know need to do this but it shows he does truely care for patients and their well-being. This is something i really appreciated as not many dr's would have done this. I would definitely recommend.

James was punctual with the appointment time for the person to person initial consultation and then also with arranged Zoom calls. During the consultation James was thorough and explained clearly what the process, plan and possible route which may be needed. He was emphatic throughout and was also aware of how we responded to what was being said

I have been taking my Dad who has Parkinson’s to see Mr Rakshi for nearly two years. Each visit is so important and helpful, as he is an absolute expert and very kind, encouraging and patient with us both. He never rushes us and answers every question thoroughly. We are so lucky to be under his care, and I highly recommend him to anyone who is needing a great Neurologist.

I visited Dr. Rakshi for a second opinion. Right from our first appointment, he made me feel comfortable and reassured that he would do everything possible to investigate my case in depth. He was incredibly diligent and responsive, and made sure that I was connected with the right specialists in order to get me the right diagnosis.

My husband has been ill since September last year. Our GP was great, but the NHS hospitals really let him down. I remembered that my husband had medical insurance through work, and we decided to go down that route. Our GP referred him to Dr Rakshi, and he was seen straight away. Dr Rakshi really took the time to find out my husband’s medical history and he really listened, not only to my husband, but he really involved me in the consultation too. He performed a series of tests on my husband and sent him for an MRI and blood tests. He wasn’t convinced that this was a neurological problem, and referred my husband on to an endocrinologist. When the MRI results came back, he saw my husband again and has sent him for 24 hour blood pressure monitoring. He has been communicating with the endocrinologist and has been keeping both ourselves and our GP fully updated with test results and future treatment plans. I would totally recommend Dr James Rakshi to anyone needing to see a neurologist. He has an amazing bed side manner and explains things to you in a very clear way. He is a very caring doctor.

I can't recommend James highly enough. Having had appointments with various doctors and consultants over an 18 month period to try and resolve a number of symptoms, I booked an appointment with James. He was extremely empathetic and put me at ease straight away whilst carrying out various physical tests and asking lots of questions to be sure he fully understood my medical history. I had MRIs the following week and saw James a week later. James took time to explain very simply and clearly what the results were and what needs to be done to improve my condition for the future.
