Dr. Claire Gorman

Dr. Claire Gorman is a highly regarded Consultant Rheumatologist at Homerton Hospital, where she has dedicated the past 15 years to delivering exceptional patient care. Trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College, she completed her general medical and higher specialist rheumatology training in North London. Dr. Gorman’s clinical expertise spans early inflammatory arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune rheumatic diseases, including lupus, while her strong foundation in general rheumatology further enhances her comprehensive approach to patient management. She is a strong believer in multidisciplinary rheumatology care and also runs combined foot and adolesecnt rheumatology clinics with specialist colleagues.

Known for her patient-centred care and excellent communication skills, Dr. Gorman consistently receives outstanding patient feedback and satisfaction. Her commitment to holistic care is evident in every aspect of her clinical practice, ensuring that each patient receives tailored treatment and support.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gorman has a strong research background, having completed her PhD at Imperial College London. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Director of Research and Innovation at Homerton Hospital, contributing significantly to advancements in rheumatology. Passionate about education, she is currently the Training Programme Director for Rheumatology in North East & Central London, where she is dedicated to mentoring and shaping the next generation of rheumatologists.
