Clear explanations and detailed examinations were much appreciated. Good advice and helpful outline of all procedures. Very reassuring-throughout my appointments and treatment. Always felt valued and not rushed in the consultations

Mr Mishreki is a fantastic doctor and I’m so grateful of the help he has given me! His manner can be a little cool to be honest! Especially as it’s an intimate field, a little more of a soft manner would help! However, Mr Mishreki’s diagnosis and actions have sorted my health!

If needed, I would have no hesitation in seeing Mr Mishreki in the future after his surgery fixed my recent problem.

He has a very calm and competent manner which in turn gives you total confidence in him. He gave all the information I needed at our first meeting which meant on the day of my operation I was fully prepared with what to expect. He came and spoke with me before and after my operation and his continued calm manner helped me feel reassured.

Having a colon cancer diagnosis is very frightening. Mr Mishreki was not only the consummate professional medically but genuinely caring and reassuring from my first appointment. He gave me a full explanation of the planned surgery and although terrified about it all, I did feel confident that somehow I was in good hands. After the operation, Mr Mishreki made a few visits to see how I was faring…his bedside manner, communication skills and sense of humour were exemplary and once again, any concerns were entirely genuine. Unfortunately Mr Mishreki did not get rid of me perhaps as quickly as he had planned because my incision wound became infected and 5 days after discharge I was readmitted for another 6 days. Again the quality of care from Mr Mishreki and his team was fantastic. The colorectal nurses were lovely and very caring , especially Louise, who had to cope with me bursting into tears whenever I saw her! I had a deep hole at the bottom of the incision wound and Mr Mishreki made arrangements for the tissue viability team to visit my bedside and attach a tissue vac machine which lessened the chance of further infection and promoted healing. It was not pleasant but ten days later at home the depth of the wound had reduced from 5cm to 1cm. I am now cancer free as the tumour was just into Stage1 (found via the excellent Bowel Screening Programme) and the section of colon removed showed all lymph nodes were clear. I feel extremely lucky to have had Mr Mishreki as my consultant/ surgeon and the support, also of his committed team. The whole experience was hideous and worrying but made more bearable by this excellent medical professional with an amazing bedside manner. Such a lovely man!

Mr Mishreki was exceptional in my care treatment plan and set my mind at ease throughout. I couldn’t have been in a safer pair of hands and I am so grateful that he took the time to talk me through the procedure both during and after
