Our experience with the staff at MUMS and Dr Ashish Chikermane has been nothing short of exemplary. Our 7yo son, who was in moderate pain, needed to see a cardiologist ASAP after a referral from A&E. We tried many other consultants but they were all unavailable and most secretaries did not answer their phone or emails. We spoke with MUMS on the phone, they explained the costs clearly upfront and took take of all the paperwork for us. They booked us in straight away and an hour later, we were at their facility. Dr Ashish took time to aliviate our sons anxiety during the echocardiogram, involving him throughout the process. At the end, he thoroughly explained his conclusion (as a specialist in pedeatic cardiology), which thankfully was positive, and in stark contrast to the information we had been given by A&E. Despite Dr Ashish being on shift for almost 12 hours, he was friendly, approachable and patient. Although sadly this facility is not covered by our BUPA healthcare insurance, we are very lucky to have been in a position where we could afford to pay out of pocket, and were happy to do so. This allowed us to see Dr Ashish within a matter of hours, rather than be on an NHS waiting list for several months. In this very stressful world of private healthcare, the staff at MUMS have got it right and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
