I was super lucky to work with Sophie. I live in Canada and struggled to find a dietitian with expertise in stoma's, ileostomies, and ulcerative colitis. I'm a big fan of Sophie! Firstly, she genuinely cares about your situation. She's calm, empathetic and listens to everything, without judgement or criticism. She's optimistic and confident in helping educate you through understanding your disease, as well as the best ways to approach it through diet and lifestyle. What I mostly love about Sophie, is her gentle approach to finding the right diet that fits you. Since my diagnosis of UC, I have worked with other doctors who influenced my negative relationship towards food, always worrying about what I can't eat. Sophie is the complete opposite. She has inspired me to believe that I will be able to eat a variety of foods again and assured me that she will help me navigate my way back into a healthy relationship with food again. I spoke to Sophie today for the first time via zoom. She was so understanding and had so much information. I have ulcerative colitis and I have been struggling to manage my diet.
