Dr Kosutic also advised on what my surgery would consist of and also made me aware of any risks or post surgery complications that could occur as a result of my surgery. He was reassuring about my worries but honest about all possible outcomes, leaving me able to make an informed decision as to whether I went ahead. The actual procedure was carried out so smoothly with every step explained. I felt as though I was in very safe hands! The outcome is amazing - more positive than I could ever have imagined. I recently had to undergo a mastectomy and reconstruction with Professor Mokbel following my breast cancer diagnosis and am delighted with the result . The surgery took place promptly and I have minimal scaring ( the smallest half moon shape under my nipple) , unbelievably ! The most surprising thing was the almost complete lack of pain after 24 hours bar a little discomfort and how incredibly my reconstructed breast matches with the other side . As well as his expertise and professionalism I found Professor Mokbel to be kind and empathetic and after my follow up appointments I have come away feeling reassured and informed. An all round positive experience which has helped no end during a difficult time coming to terms with the shock of breast cancer.
