About
Mr Asmat Din, Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, currently works within the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust and King's College Hospital NHS Trust in London. He also sees patients privately in several clinics across London including London Bridge Hospital, Cadogan Clinic, and Westminster Bridge Consulting Rooms. He is highly experienced in performing microsurgical reconstruction for complex wounds, post-trauma, post-cancer treatment, diabetes complications, and chronic illness complications. He is also experienced and highly proficient in aesthetic surgery.
Mr Din began his medical education at the University of Cambridge and the University of London, he graduated with a double distinction and multiple prizes. His speciality training in plastic surgery took place in London, during which he undertook a Microsurgical Reconstruction Fellowship in St Thomas' Hospital focusing on reconstruction for soft tissue in adults and children. The majority of cases he saw in this fellowship were post-cancer treatment or post-trauma reconstructions. Additionally, he did a fellowship in Bristol focusing on Trauma and Sarcoma Reconstruction.
Mr Din continued to be a decorated trainee, he was awarded the Ian McGregor Medal for Outstanding Performance in his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Plastic Surgery examination. This exam was the final examination he took to become a certified Consultant in Plastic Surgery. He is an active teacher, sitting on the Exam Board for the Royal College of Surgeons and holding the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Queen Mary's University of London.
