What an amazing place full of brilliant, talented, kind and caring people .Maggie on reception was a ray of sunshine every day and the radiotherapy team made what could have been scary - a breeze for me as they allowed me to ask every question imaginable and showed me how the machine and monitors work which totally reassured and calmed me. The exercise medicine programme is absolutely fabulous - it helped me enormously and I loved every session with Samira and Sarah, both of whom are wonderfully patient, kind and knowledgeable. The wonderful thing about Genesis is the holistic focus on the individual - from start to finish a tailor made programme of radiotherapy treatment alongside holistic treatments and a 12 week exercise medicine gym based exercise. I never thought I'd ever say I would love visiting a "hospital" for radiotherapy but I did - the treatment was short and expertly executed and only a small part of the overall experience which was a beautifully holistic , positive , healing, supportive one.
