I had a lot of back-and-forth communication with Vera clinic via WhatsApp. The clinic was very responsive to all my WhatsApp messages and despite my trepidation about communicating a Hair Transplant surgery with stem cell treatment via WhatsApp, it proved to be a very affective and convenient way to not only get all my questions answered, but to answer all of their questions and schedule the surgery and treatments themselves. When I arrived in Istanbul at the airport, the directions and where to go were very clear. There was about 30 minutes where I was waiting and not sure how long I would be waiting before starting the transport from the airport to the hotel, but after that, it was very easy, and the communication about all things to take place was clear. I checked into the hotel, which was easy and the hotel was quite nice and comfortable. It was included in my package, which was also nice. My first day was the stem cell treatment. I had excellent translators who not only understood the languages. They were translating perfectly, but we’re very familiar with vera clinic in the procedures they offered. The stem cell treat surgery was explained to me in very clear terms and was quick and comfortable. After the stem cell treatment, my head was quite sore, but otherwise I felt fine. I had a day off to explore the city or rest in between the stem cell treatment and the Hair Transplant surgery itself. I did a little bit of shopping, but primarily use the day for rest as I had been traveling for work prior to arriving At Istanbul. The day of my transplant surgery started fairly early as due most days with Fair clinic and it was a long day. Throughout the day, the staff was very attentive and took their time to make sure the quality of the Hair Transplant was top-notch. Again, it did for a long day, as the surgery was approximately 10 hours. In my case, there was pain and discomfort when the actual surgery was taking place. Clinic did their best to make me as comfortable as possible, including sedation where I was kept awake but did provide some relief from the pain. After the surgery, I was taken along with five other patients to do my first oxy cure treatment. There was a movie that was shown on a small screen inside the chamber where we were seated that was in Turkish. I wish I would have brought a book to read. That would have made it more comfortable for me. The following day started with another oxy cure treatment. Unfortunately, for me, I bumped the crown of my head on the ceiling of the van transporting me from the hotel to Vera clinic. iMessage the clinic, and they immediately got me in front of a doctor to inspect the area And repair any minor damage that may have happened. They did so and gave me reassurance that everything was OK and I had not damaged anything beyond the quick repair they had just performed. They tell you to be careful and I was, but you have very little awareness of where your head is so I recommend crawling to your seat and then slowly Taking your place in the car seat and buckling up and crawling your way out after surgery. Better to be safe than sorry. After seeing the doctor to take a look at my head from the bump on the roof of the van, I did my first hair wash at the clinic where the technician washed my hair and showed me how I would be washing it for the next 15 days. I then did red light therapy and had a light snack before being returned to the hotel. The next day I was brought to the airport where I flew home. The first 15 days were uncomfortable. They were uncomfortable mostly because you need to sleep in a mostly upright position with a neck pillow to keep any of the transplanted area from being impacted or touching, any surface, including a pillow or the bed itself. Having scabs all over your head is also not the most comfortable look to walk around with. The hat they give you to cover yourself only slightly less awkward than exposing your recently transplanted head. After 15 days, I was able to wash the scabs off and my head and hair started to feel much better. I am very light skinned and had quite a bit of redness in the transplanted areas. That redness remained for me for 4 months. From the 30 to 90 day period I had a lot of what I would describe as pimples on my transplant and donor areas that would swell, pop, puss & bleed. This alarmed me, but Vera Clinic wa ever responsive to all my questions or concerns during the healing process and assured me this was normal after I answered their questions and sent in pictures. At the 4 month mark, I noticed my hair was already looking better than it did before th transplant. The results were showing and I was excited. I am now at almost 7 months post transplant and the results so far have met my expectations. I am happy and over the next 9 to 12 months, my results are predicted to only get better. Overall, I’m very happy with my decision. Like any surgery, the process and healing can be difficult, but the results make it all worth it. I’d highly recommend Vera Clinic for anyone looking for a hair transplant.
