Dr Patrick Maguire

Dr Patrick Maguire is a certified Gynaecological Oncologist and Pelvic Surgeon, and surgical trainer. They are dual registered with the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in London. Dr Maguire completed their medical degree and commenced specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Following this, they completed a research Doctorate degree which focused on patient safety and early detection of critical illness. Their research contributed to the HSE's National Maternity Strategy and to the development of inpatient early warning systems internationally.

Dr Maguire is also a Colposcopist. Colposcopy is a procedure to closely examine the cervix, vagina and vulva. Dr Maguire is a member of the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the professional body responsible for the development of women's healthcare and the training of Obstetrician-Gynaecologists in Ireland.
