About Dr. Yahya Kamal
Dr Yahya Kamal is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK) and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (USA). He has been practising in Ireland since 1996 and brings over 30 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained his medical degree in 1989 from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and has been a member, trainer, and examiner for the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
Dr Kamal completed five years of specialist registrar training in several teaching hospitals across Ireland and was awarded the Certificate of Satisfactory Completion of Specialist Training (CSCST) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Between 2008 and 2010, he served as Assistant Master at both the Coombe Women’s University Hospital and the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin. In July 2010, he was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda and Louth County Hospital Dundalk, where he also took on the role of Lead Colposcopist at the North East Regional Colposcopy Unit.
Since May 2011, he has been working as a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Rotunda Hospital Dublin, where he continues to contribute to the Irish National Cervical Screening Programme. He performs two colposcopy clinics per week at the Rotunda Hospital and also provides private colposcopy services from his rooms at Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic.
Dr Kamal currently holds private practice privileges at Blackrock Health Hermitage Clinic Dublin, Bon Secours Private Hospital Dublin and Charter Medical Private Hospital Mullingar. His areas of special interest include laparoscopic surgery, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic surgery, urinary incontinence, cosmetic vulvo-vaginal surgery, and prolapse repair. He also has extensive experience in general gynaecology, menstrual disorders, colposcopy, urogynaecology, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, adolescent gynaecology, and menopause and perimenopause care.

I just cannot speak highly enough of Dr Kamal from the very first appointment when I felt half dead he explained everything in easy terms even drawing diagrams I immediately felt relief as I knew he was going to look after me I had a hysteroscopy first then went on to have a hysterectomy he is a top top surgeon who gives a v personal experience he visited me in hospital after the hysterectomy when I wasnt feeling gr8 he got tabs changed and from that moment on I was flying he even called me at home checking on me.. I feel like he gave me my life back I feel like a new woman.. I highly highly recommend him to anyone going through all this.. Also his secretary is extremely good too v quick response time I remember one Friday being in a terrible state at 4.55pm not expecting a response but she contacted Dr Kamal for me and got a prescription sent to my chemist for me she is brilliant .. Thank u both so much..
