Ms Faye Mahony is a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Arts Therapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in relational, humanistic, and creative principles, tailored to each client's unique needs and pace of progress. With a focus on building a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, Faye creates a supportive environment where clients can explore complex emotions and experiences.

Faye integrates various psychotherapeutic models and techniques to help clients understand and navigate their feelings and challenges. Her goal is to foster greater self-awareness, self-understanding, authenticity, flexibility, and healing. She incorporates mind-body based techniques and self-regulation strategies to assist clients in identifying emotional triggers and managing challenging moments effectively.

With clinical experience spanning both the charity sector and NHS Mental Health in-patient services in London, Faye has worked extensively with clients facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual abuse, relationship difficulties, neurodiversity, addiction, and survivors of childhood trauma and abuse. In addition to her private practice, she currently provides long-term individual psychotherapy in a third sector organisation for clients with complex trauma and enduring mental health issues.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Faye spent 19 years in the inner-city Further Education sector, specialising in supporting adolescents and adults with neurodiverse conditions such as ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, and various mental health challenges. This background equips her with deep empathy and understanding of the additional pressures and obstacles faced by individuals and families dealing with these conditions.

Faye understands the apprehensions individuals may have about starting therapy and is committed to creating a supportive and comfortable environment for her clients. She respects each client's autonomy and choices throughout their therapeutic journey.

Based in the UK, Faye is also a trainee member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). Her qualifications include an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
