My experience was both good and disappointing. It was really difficult to speak to a person at any stage, even after an assessment. Important information was miscommunicated to me twice via email. The assessment was conducted by a psychologist, new to the position and although she made us feel very comfortable at the initial interview, I sensed unsurety in response to our concerns when we received the results of the assessment. I have mixed feelings about the experience overall.

I felt the whole experience was very child-centered and each person they met adapted to the individual need's and preferences of our two children. Thank you

Booked my son in, and was able to get an appointment in a reasonable time as I’m a patient there myself. The caregivers he dealt with were kind and understanding. My only criticism is the junior clinic email system. It takes too long to receive a reply. I had to send two emails to get a form re-sent. I also sent two emails (I gave two weeks notice) to say my son would need to change his follow up appointment due to it clashing with his junior cert, but this was never acknowledged or passed on. This resulted in him being out of medication (prescribed by his original clinic), as his appointment was pushed out to another time that suited the clinic rather than the patient.

The ADHD Doc offices are very friendly for ADHD and neurodivergent clients. Everything from the signage to the colour schemes to the office layout seems to have been designed with ADHD syptoms in mind. Doors and hallways are clearly labelled, without cluttered instructions, and the waiting room is a peaceful, soothing environment with books and other activities to keep the busy ADHD mind calm and engaged but not overstimulated. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and the healthcare team are compassionate and seem to really care about their patients. Thank you ADHD Doc for all the many ways you care for those who might otherwise find this a stressful, overwhelming experience. <3
