Dr Saeed Bohlega

Professor Saeed Bohlega – Consultant Neurologist

Professor Saeed Bohlega is a Consultant Neurologist and Professor of Neurology with a long career in clinical practice, medical education, and neurological research in Saudi Arabia.

He works with patients affected by a wide range of neurological conditions, including complex disorders of the nervous system that require careful diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term follow-up. His clinical interests include general neurology, multiple sclerosis, and neurophysiology.

Professor Bohlega completed his medical degree at King Saud University, graduating in 1980. In 1982, he moved to Canada for specialist training in Neurology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where he trained under Professor Don Paty. During this time, he developed a particular interest in Multiple Sclerosis and completed further training in Neurophysiology.

In 1989, he joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, where he held several senior clinical and leadership roles, including Consultant Neurologist, Senior Consultant, Section Head of Neurology, and Chairman of Neurosciences. He is also Professor of Neurology at Alfaisal University.

Alongside his clinical and academic roles, Professor Bohlega has contributed extensively to neurological research, with more than 122 peer-reviewed publications, authored book chapters, and over 180 conference presentations.
