Dr Diamond Joy

Dr Diamond Joy is a highly skilled Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology Consultant dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. As a dedicated Gastroenterologist, he offers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for a wide range of digestive health issues. Dr Joy is committed to delivering reassuring and evidence-based care, ensuring that his patients receive the most effective treatments tailored to their individual needs. Throughout his career, Dr Joy has developed extensive expertise in managing complex gastrointestinal conditions. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive disorders, including liver disease, ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. Furthermore, he is highly proficient in performing advanced procedures such as upper endoscopy, stent placement, dilatation, and endoscopic ultrasound. His clinical interests also encompass colon cancer screening, the removal of colon polyps, and the management of acute and chronic liver and pancreatic diseases, including hepatitis C. Notably, he has pioneered advanced diagnostic services, including adult oesophageal manometry. Dr Joy completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at Mahatma Gandhi University, India, in 1995, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1998. He subsequently pursued extensive postgraduate training in the United Kingdom, obtaining his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000 and his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2007. In 2008, he earned a Master of Science in Management from the University of Glamorgan, Wales. He further advanced his skills with a Pancreatico-biliary Fellowship in advanced endoscopic ultrasound in Newcastle in 2009. Dr Joy was awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2013 and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at Durham University in 2016.
